Vibe Build is an AI-driven prototype development hackathon organized under the Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC), IIEST Shibpur, with support from IIC, as part of a larger entrepreneurial initiative aimed at fostering innovation, startup awareness, and real-world problem-solving.
This hackathon is a core component of a multi-faceted event that also includes a Startup Expo and workshops on AI in startups and startup compliance, creating a complete ecosystem of ideation, execution, and industry exposure.
Participants will work in teams to identify real-world problems and build intelligent, scalable AI-powered SaaS prototypes, leveraging modern tools, APIs, and frameworks. The focus is on rapid execution, creativity, and building impactful solutions.
Competition Structure:
Round 1: Idea Submission (Online)
Teams will begin by identifying a real-world problem of their choice and proposing an AI-driven solution.
Submission Requirements:
A PPT presentation (AI-generated PPT is expected) covering:
Problem statement and its relevance
Proposed AI-powered SaaS solution
Approach, feasibility, and expected impact
Shortlisting will be based on innovation, clarity, and problem-solution fit. Selected teams will advance to the final round.
Round 2: Prototype Development & Final Presentation (Hybrid Finale)
Venue: IIEST ShibpurFinal Presentations: 19th April 2026
Shortlisted teams will build a working prototype of their solution within the given timeline and present it before a panel of judges.
This round evaluates not just your idea, but your ability to execute, demonstrate, and defend your solution in real time.

Eligibility:
Open to all college students
Cross-college and cross-branch teams are allowed
Valid college ID is mandatory
Rules & Guidelines:
Each team can have a maximum of 2 members
No predefined problem statements will be provided
Teams must define their own problem statement
Solutions must be developed as AI-driven SaaS products
Use of AI tools, APIs, and frameworks is highly encouraged
All development must be completed within the given timeline
No changes in team members after registration
Plagiarism will result in immediate disqualification
Teams must demonstrate genuine progress and originality
