Join us for an evening of insight and conversation at the Prosus AI House on Tuesday, March 17.
The session, When AI Agents hold wallets: Building the new transaction layer, brings together leaders from banking, payments infrastructure, and applied AI to explore one of the most consequential questions in fintech today: how do autonomous software actors participate in financial systems that were designed for humans and organisations?
AI agents are already negotiating contracts, sourcing services, booking travel, and executing purchases. The infrastructure to support this at scale — spanning identity, programmable wallets, fraud detection, compliance, and regulatory oversight — is only beginning to take shape. This evening will explore the stage of agentic commerce, and what it will take to move from experimental agents to production-grade autonomous transactions.

Speakers
Ceren Danis is an investment banker turned start-up founder who found her passion for Product Management, with over 10 years of experience in finance & strategy, venture building, and shipping physical & digital products. She helps founders and leaders raise capital, build products, and navigate high-stakes with clarity. She previously worked in product and finance at N26, Back Market, and Zalando, and has hands-on experience implementing agentic AI workflows.
Desiree Dijkstra Klingenberg is Head of Products & Solutions, Central Europe at Visa, and works on the next generation of commerce infrastructure where intelligent software increasingly participates in transactions. At AI House she will share how Visa is preparing for agent-driven commerce, including new approaches to trusted agents, authorization, and payment credentials designed for autonomous digital systems.
Dhruv Ghulati, Principal Product Manager AI/ML at Adyen, works on applying machine learning and AI across one of the world’s largest payment infrastructures. At AI House he will share how AI is already being used to build and operate modern payment systems—from fraud detection and risk modelling to optimisation of transaction flows—and why this engineering layer will be just as important as autonomous agents themselves in the next generation of digital commerce.
Nico Marais, CFO at Prosus, oversees the financial strategy behind one of the world’s largest technology investment portfolios spanning ecommerce, fintech and AI. At AI House he will open the session with a perspective on Prosus’s push into agent-driven commerce, where new AI systems and “large commerce models” are already powering marketplaces and services across platforms used by hundreds of millions of consumers.
Olivier Brinkman, Founder of Apiosk, is building payment infrastructure specifically designed for autonomous software. In a live demo he will show how agents can access APIs and digital services using payment-native authentication rather than traditional API keys—an example of how not only large platforms but also small, experimental builders are shaping the emerging transaction layer for machine-to-machine commerce.
Sameer Verma, Manager at PaymentGenes, works at the intersection of payments infrastructure and emerging commerce models. He will introduce the rapidly evolving protocol landscape around agentic commerce, including new standards such as Google’s Universal Commerce Protocol and Agent Payments Protocol, as well as initiatives like Visa’s Trusted Agent framework that aim to make machine-initiated transactions secure, verifiable, and interoperable.
Yorick Naeff, Head of Innovation at ABN AMRO and co-founder of BUX, brings a founder’s perspective to innovation inside one of Europe’s largest financial institutions. At AI House he will share how banks are exploring the next generation of financial services—from embedded finance and programmable payments to the early implications of AI agents that may increasingly act on behalf of customers in digital markets.
