IdeaHub 3.0 is a flagship ideation challenge jointly organized by TechCider Club and E‑Cell NMIMS Navi Mumbai, as part of Avartan 2.0. The Hackathon encourages participants to move beyond surface-level ideas and focus on problems that matter. Participants are expected to identify meaningful problems and propose technology-driven solutions that are grounded in reality, not just theory.
Who Can Participate:
Open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students
Team size: 3 - 4 members
Inter-college and cross-disciplinary teams allowed
Open to both technical and non-technical backgrounds
IdeaHub 3.0 consists of three progressive rounds, each testing a different aspect of innovation and execution.
Round 1: Trivia: A fast-paced screening round to assess participants’ awareness of the technology landscape:
50 MCQs on:
Emerging technologies
Tech trends, startups, and innovation
Duration: 40 minutes
Scoring: +2 per correct answer, no negative marking
Shortlisting: Top teams advance (tie-breaker: faster completion)
Round 2: Ideation Circuit: Shortlisted teams submit a structured ideation document based on given problem statements. Submissions should clearly cover:
Problem definition and context.
Proposed solution and core idea.
Feasibility and practicality.
High-level implementation plan.
Impact and real-world use cases.
Round 3: Vision Pitch: The final round focuses on execution and demonstration, not just communication.
Live elevator-style pitch with prototype/demo
Format:
Up to 15 minutes (problem recap, solution walkthrough, prototype)
5 minutes Q&A with judges
Mode: Hybrid (Offline at campus + Online via Discord)
Teams will be evaluated on:
Relevance of the problem.
Clarity and novelty of the solution.
Feasibility and execution readiness.
Applicability, scalability, and impact.
Rules:
Originality:
All submissions must be original work created during the event.
Pre-existing projects or plagiarized ideas will lead to disqualification.
Teams can use public resources/APIs with proper attribution.
Collaboration:
External mentor collaboration is prohibited during competition rounds.
Team members must work independently without outside assistance.
Submission Guidelines:
Strict adherence to time limits for all rounds.
Late submissions will not be accepted.
All required components must be included in submissions.
Professional Conduct:
Participants must maintain professional behavior.
Respect towards fellow participants, mentors, and judges is mandatory.
Any form of cheating or misconduct will result in immediate disqualification.
Judging Criteria:
Trivia Round: Accuracy of answers.
Ideation Circuit: Innovation, feasibility, problem-solving approach.
Vision Pitch: Presentation clarity, technical depth, and execution potential.
