StrangerHacks is the flagship launch event by HackShastra, marking the first-ever hackathon organized under the HackShastra Khalsa College Chapter. This 24-hour live, overnight offline hackathon is designed to bring together innovative student minds from across India to build impactful, future-ready solutions.
The official grand finale will be hosted offline at Khalsa College, creating a high-energy environment for collaboration, innovation, and competition.
Hackathon Structure:
Round 1: PPT Submission (Online)
Teams must submit a concise presentation covering:
Problem statement
Proposed solution
Technical approach
Expected impact
Evaluation will be based on clarity of thought, innovation, and feasibility.
Round 2: Shortlisting & Online Mentorship
From Round 1, 150–175 teams will be shortlisted for online mentorship. These teams will receive guided feedback to refine their ideas and execution. After the mentorship phase, 60–62 teams will advance to the final round.
Round 3: Offline Grand Finale
The top 60–62 teams will qualify for the on-campus overnight hackathon at Khalsa College, Amritsar. Teams will build working prototypes (MVPs) with continuous mentor support and present their final solutions to a judging panel.
Prize Pool:
The total prize pool is ₹1,00,000+, including cash prizes, recognition, goodies, certificates, and valuable networking opportunities.

Web3: Blockchain-based decentralized applications, smart contracts, and trustless systems
Internet of Things (IoT): Smart connected systems, sensors, automation, and real-time monitoring
Open Innovation: Original ideas that go beyond predefined domains
AR & VR: Immersive experiences, simulations, and interactive 3D environments
AI & ML: Intelligent systems for automation, prediction, and data-driven insights
Cybersecurity: Secure architectures, encryption, authentication, and threat detection
Guidelines & Eligibility:
Team size must be a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 4 members. The hackathon is open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students across India. Inter-college and inter-specialisation teams are allowed.
Rules & Requirements:
Any form of plagiarism will lead to immediate disqualification. Internet access is allowed, but the use of pre-existing codebases is prohibited. Only teams shortlisted in Round 2 will be eligible for the offline grand finale. All teams must present a working MVP along with a final pitch presentation.
