Main Problem Tracks:
Healthcare:
VitalScan – The Proactive Health Monitor Individuals with chronic conditions or elderly populations often miss subtle health changes until a crisis hits. Manual logging is inconsistent and unreliable. Build an app that integrates with wearable devices to passively collect health data, detects deviations from personal baselines, and sends proactive alerts to users and caregivers. A dashboard should give family members and healthcare providers a broader health overview. Key Focus Areas: Wearable Device Integration | Anomaly Detection in Vital Signs | Caregiver Notifications | Predictive Health Risk Assessment
MediSync – The Invisible Health Ledger Patients visiting multiple hospitals, pharmacies, and labs carry fragmented records. Critical allergies, past prescriptions, and test results get lost, leading to dangerous drug interactions and repeated testing. Build a secure platform that unifies health records into a patient-controlled timeline, parses unstructured clinical documents into structured data, flags drug conflicts, and lets patients selectively share records with clinicians. Key Focus Areas: Medical Record Aggregation | Clinical Document Parsing | Drug Conflict Detection | Patient-Controlled Data Access
Education & Productivity:
SkillBridge – The Adaptive Career Navigator Skills go outdated fast, but most career platforms only show static job listings with no personalised guidance. Build a platform where users input their skills and career goals to receive a personalised learning roadmap based on real-time job market analysis. The system should identify skill gaps and recommend courses, certifications, or projects that bridge them. Mentor matching is a bonus. Key Focus Areas: Skill Gap Analysis | Job Market Intelligence | Personalised Learning Pathways | Mentor Matching
CogniPath – The Misconception Mapper Learning platforms treat wrong answers as failures, not diagnostic signals. A student who keeps getting algebra wrong might have a sign error or a fundamental gap – the system never knows. Build an interactive tutoring platform that captures keystrokes, drawings, and time-per-step during problem-solving, classifies the specific misconception in real time, and generates targeted micro-lessons adapted to that student's exact gap. Key Focus Areas: Behavioural Interaction Capture | Misconception Classification | Adaptive Learning Content | Real-time Cognitive Gap Analysis
MeetMind – The Meeting ROI Optimiser Organisations bleed thousands of hours in pointless meetings with no agenda, no ownership, and no follow-through. No one knows what these meetings actually cost or which ones shouldn't exist. Build a dashboard that integrates with calendar and communication tools to analyse meeting patterns, calculate their true cost, identify recurring themes, and flag meetings that could simply be an email. Key Focus Areas: Meeting Analytics | Cost & ROI Estimation | Async vs Sync Decision Support | Organisational Productivity
Sustainability & Environment:
HarvestIQ – The Crop Yield Risk Forecaster Smallholder farmers make critical planting and irrigation decisions based on gut feeling or outdated almanacs, with no access to satellite data or micro-climate forecasts. One bad season can mean debt. Build a low-bandwidth tool (with SMS fallback) that fuses satellite and weather data to deliver weekly crop risk scores – drought, pest, flood – along with irrigation schedules and advisory messages in the farmer's local language. Key Focus Areas: Agricultural Risk Assessment | Satellite & Remote Sensing Data | Multilingual Advisory Output | Low-Bandwidth Accessibility
WasteLens – The Circular Economy Scout Recycling facilities struggle to identify and price mixed waste accurately. Contaminated batches ruin entire loads, and misclassification sends recoverable materials straight to landfill. Build a mobile-first app where workers photograph waste to instantly receive material classification, contamination levels, purity estimates, and predicted resale value cross-referenced with live commodity markets. Key Focus Areas: Computer Vision for Material Classification | Contamination Detection | Purity Estimation | Live Market Data Integration
EcoRoute – The Sustainable Logistics Optimizer Delivery businesses – especially SMEs – have no tools to factor environmental impact into route planning. Current solutions optimise for speed or cost only. Build a route planning tool that calculates optimal delivery routes considering traffic, vehicle emissions, road gradients, and real-time air quality, with a dashboard that tracks the organisation's cumulative environmental footprint. Key Focus Areas: Green Route Optimisation | Emissions Modeling | Traffic & Environmental Data Fusion | Logistics Impact Visualisation
Smart Cities & Social Impact:
UrbanSense – The Community Safety Predictor City planners react to safety incidents instead of preventing them. Safety data – incident reports, social sentiment, sensor feeds – sits in silos with no predictive layer on top. Build a platform that fuses diverse urban data sources to predict safety hotspots before incidents occur, with a city official dashboard for proactive resource deployment and a mobile interface for resident awareness. Key Focus Areas: Urban Data Fusion | Geospatial Risk Prediction | Social Sentiment Analysis | Proactive Resource Allocation
PermitFlow – The Construction Compliance Autopilot Contractors lose months in paper-heavy municipal permit workflows. Zoning rules, safety codes, and clearances are scattered across siloed portals, and one missing document restarts the entire process. Build a platform where contractors upload blueprints and site details to receive an automated compliance gap report, auto-filled government forms, and a live permit status tracker. Key Focus Areas: Regulatory Knowledge Management | Document Understanding | Compliance Gap Detection | Process Automation
PulseGrid – The Predictive Public Transit Balancer City buses follow fixed schedules regardless of real demand – overcrowded during events, near-empty on quiet corridors. Transit agencies have no way to rebalance before problems cascade. Build an operations dashboard paired with a commuter app that forecasts demand at the route/stop level 30–60 minutes ahead and recommends real-time fleet reallocation with proactive passenger notifications. Key Focus Areas: Demand Forecasting | Fleet Reallocation Optimisation | Multimodal Data Fusion | Passenger Communication
GriefBridge – The Bereavement Support Navigator People grieving job loss, divorce, or the death of a loved one face scattered support options, long therapy waitlists, and the stigma of asking for help. No unified tool exists to guide them. Build a digital companion where users log emotions via text or voice. The system tracks emotional patterns over time, surfaces verified local support resources on a map, and checks in proactively when sentiment deteriorates. Key Focus Areas: Mental Health & Grief Support | Geospatial Resource Mapping | Emotion Trend Detection | Community Integration
VeritasFlow – The Information Diet Coach Doom-scrolling and filter bubbles are quietly eroding mental well-being and informed thinking, yet no tool helps people audit what they actually consume online. Build a browser extension or mobile wrapper that passively tracks content consumption with user consent, generates a personal information diet report, detects filter bubbles, and recommends high-quality counter-perspective content. Key Focus Areas: Content Consumption Analytics | Sentiment & Topic Analysis | Filter Bubble Detection | Perspective Diversification
Business & Financial Systems:
CreditLens – The SME Loan Readiness Coach Most SMEs in emerging markets get rejected for loans not because they're unprofitable, but because they lack formal financial documentation. They get no explanation and no path forward. Build a platform where business owners upload informal records – receipts, invoices, UPI histories, handwritten ledgers – and receive a creditworthiness score, a breakdown of their top weaknesses, and a personalised action plan to improve loan-readiness. Key Focus Areas: Document Parsing & Structuring | Creditworthiness Assessment | Explainable Scoring | SME Financial Literacy
Geopolitics & National Strategy:
Global Ontology Engine – Unified Intelligence Graph for Strategic Decision-Making Governments and policy teams make high-stakes decisions using fragmented, siloed data – news feeds, academic papers, satellite imagery, economic signals, and social discourse – none of it connected. There is no system that continuously integrates and interprets this information into a coherent, evolving intelligence picture. Build a unified intelligence graph that ingests structured and unstructured data across geopolitics, economics, defence, climate, and technology – enabling decision-makers to query entity relationships, surface non-obvious connections, and generate strategic insights. Build with India's strategic context in mind while keeping it globally applicable. Key Focus Areas: Multi-domain Data Integration | Knowledge Graph Construction | Real-time Intelligence Synthesis | Strategic Decision Support | Geopolitical & Economic Signal Processing
Open Innovation Track:
Don't see your idea in the official problem statements? Build your own.
Participants in this track can define their own problem and build their own solution. There are no restrictions on domain – healthcare, education, sustainability, finance, social impact, or anything else – as long as the solution creates real, meaningful impact on society and integrates Web or Mobile Development with AI/ML or Data Science at its core.
Solutions without genuine societal impact or without meaningful AI/ML integration will not be considered for evaluation, regardless of technical execution or creativity.
Key Focus Areas: Real-world Problem Identification | Societal Impact | AI/ML as Core Functionality | Development + Intelligence Fusion
