About The Klymo Ascent 1.0:
The Klymo Ascent 1.0 is Klymo’s first engineering hackathon, organized exclusively for college students. The hackathon is designed to help students apply their technical knowledge to real-world problems with a strong focus on practical execution. It is a time-bound, online hackathon where teams work on carefully designed problem statements in Machine Learning and Full Stack Engineering. The emphasis is on building functional and meaningful solutions within realistic constraints.
The hackathon includes two tracks:
Machine Learning
Full Stack Engineering
Each track will have one problem statement, which will be released at the official start of the hackathon. The event encourages collaboration among students from different colleges and academic backgrounds. Participants are expected to maintain a fair, respectful, and collaborative environment throughout the hackathon. All official updates and communication will be shared during the event.
Eligibility:
Open only to currently enrolled college students
Undergraduate and postgraduate students from any recognized college or university are eligible
Students from all branches and specializations can participate
Inter-college teams are allowed
Inter-specialization teams are allowed
All team members must be students at the time of participation
Team Formation:
Teams must consist of 1 to 3 members
Each participant can be part of only one team
Teams must choose one track during registration
Hackathon Format:
Mode: Online
Duration: 72 hours
Format: Single-round hackathon
Problem Statements: One per track
Teams will work only on the problem statement of their selected track
Hackathon Process:
Teams register and select their preferred track
Problem statements are released at the official start time
Teams build and refine their solutions during the hackathon period
Final submissions must be made before the deadline
Submissions are evaluated by the judging panel
Submission Guidelines:
Teams are required to submit:
A working solution related to the problem statement
A source code repository
A clear README explaining the approach and key decisions
A demo video or live link (mandatory)
Evaluation Criteria:
Submissions will be evaluated based on:
Functionality and correctness
Quality of execution
Clarity of approach
Engineering decisions
Ability to work under time and resource constraints
Rules and Code of Conduct:
All work must be completed during the hackathon duration
Late submissions will not be accepted
Plagiarism or use of pre-built complete solutions is strictly prohibited
Open-source libraries and frameworks are allowed unless stated otherwise
Teams must follow submission guidelines strictly
Any form of misconduct will lead to immediate disqualification

Important Notes:
Registrations for The Klymo Ascent 1.0 are now open.
The registration fee is per team, not per individual. Teams can have 1 to 3 members.
You’ll be asked to choose your track (Machine Learning or Full Stack Engineering) after completing the payment, so you don’t need to worry about selecting it beforehand.
If you’re registering alone right now, that’s totally fine; you can add your teammates later before the registration deadline.
Problem statements will be revealed only after registrations close
Further instructions and updates will be shared during the hackathon
Participants are expected to maintain integrity, respect, and professionalism at all times
