Prometeo 2026, the national technical and entrepreneurial festival of IIT Jodhpur, brings to you the Prompt Engineering Challenge—a unique competition where creativity meets artificial intelligence. Inspired by Prometheus’s legacy of empowering humanity with knowledge and technology, this event continues the spirit of innovation by inviting participants to explore the growing world of AI-assisted design. In this challenge, participants will be provided with a blurred and grayscale reference image along with a theme. Using the power of prompt engineering and DreamStudio AI, teams must recreate the original image as accurately as possible while adding their own creative and thematic interpretation. The event tests precision, reasoning, prompt-craft, and artistic imagination, making it ideal for AI enthusiasts, designers, and innovators.
Guidelines:
Eligibility & Team Size: Participation is open to students across institutions. Teams must consist of 2–3 members as specified in the rulebook
Inter-College / Inter-Specialization Teams: Both inter-college and inter-disciplinary teams are allowed, encouraging collaboration and diverse creativity.
Task Format: Each team will receive a blurred grayscale image along with a theme revealed on the event day. Using DreamStudio AI, teams must attempt to recreate the image as closely as possible while showcasing a creative twist relevant to the assigned theme.
Number of Problem Statements: The event consists of multiple sub-round images. Generating all images is not compulsory; however, points increase based on completeness and accuracy of submissions
Round Duration: Teams will be given a fixed time window (announced at the event) to analyse the reference, build prompts, generate outputs, and upload the final submission.
Rules:
Submission Format:
All submissions must be uploaded through the Google Form/link on Unstop.
Accepted file formats: JPEG, JPG, PNG.
Prompt submission must include:
Positive prompts
Negative prompts
A brief explanation of the logic behind the prompt decisions.
File Naming Convention:Format: TeamName_SubRoundTheme (e.g., TeamPhoenix_IITJodhpur) as mentioned in the rulebook.
Multiple generated images can also be submitted in a single ZIP file.
Use of DreamStudio’s features should follow ethical standards; plagiarism or copying from external artworks is strictly prohibited.
Evaluation Criteria: Judging will be based on the following parameters:
Image Accuracy: How closely the generated image matches the hidden reference.
Creativity & Innovation: Uniqueness and originality in interpreting the theme.
Prompt Engineering Quality: Clarity, effectiveness, and cleverness of prompt design.
Technical Execution: Proper utilization of DreamStudio AI features.
Explanation: Clear reasoning behind prompt structure and approach.
Prize Pool:
Exciting rewards worth ₹5,000 are up for grabs—recognizing the best prompt engineers of Prometeo 2026.
