Opportunity Description:
Fastathon is a 24-hour online hackathon organized by F.A.S.T., supported by NVIDIA, Belden, and BMW. The event challenges engineering students to develop innovative technology solutions for real-world problems aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and sourced from NGOs and industry.
Competition Format:
Round 1 – SDG Solution PPT Submission:
Teams must submit a presentation proposing a technology-based solution addressing a selected Sustainable Development Goal within the given domain.
Submissions will be evaluated based on innovation, feasibility, and impact.
Round 2 – Problem Statement Auction:
Shortlisted teams will receive a set number of tokens.
Teams will participate in a live auction to bid for problem statements based on strategy.
Round 3 – Development & Final Presentation:
Teams will develop a working prototype or solution.
Participants will present their final solution to the judging panel.
Evaluation will be based on innovation, technical implementation, feasibility, and real-world impact.
Rewards:
Tokens and points earned during the event can be converted into scores.
Participants can use these scores to claim courses from the NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute certification catalogue.
These certifications are globally recognized industry certifications.
Eligibility:
Open to engineering students only.
Team size: 2–4 members.
Inter-college teams are allowed.
Inter-specialization teams are allowed.
Rules:
All participants must register through Unstop.
Teams must submit original work.
Participants must take part in games and activities conducted during the event to earn additional points.
Points earned during the event determine access to NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute certification courses.
Plagiarism or unfair practices will lead to disqualification.
The decision of the judges will be final and binding.
