Overview:
The event is a 24-hour technical competition where participants design and simulate process flowsheets using engineering simulation software.
The competition focuses on technical accuracy, simulation design, innovation, and presentation skills.
The event will be conducted in two rounds and will run continuously for 24 hours.
Team Structure:
Participants can compete in teams of a maximum of 2 members.
Round 1:
Participants will be given a relatively simple problem statement.
Teams must create a flowsheet simulation using DWSIM software.
The flowsheet must be completed within the given time frame.
Participants must present their designed simulations to the judges.
Teams will be judged based on:
Technical accuracy
Completeness of design
Innovation
Presentation quality
Selected teams will qualify for the next round.
Round 2:
Participants will be given a complex flowsheet problem.
The simulation will be based on UNISIM or PETROSIM software.
The judging criteria will remain the same as Round 1.
Participants must stay overnight in the college while performing the second round.
No student is allowed to leave the college campus once the event has commenced.
Rules:
Only the use of college-provided computers will be permitted to design the flowsheets.
