Event Overview:
CodePunk v2.0 is a 24-hour, build-first hackathon organized by the Droid Club at GLA University, Mathura. Our mission is to move beyond superficial prototyping and return to core engineering. Whether you are building complex software architectures or integrated hardware systems, CodePunk is the arena to prove your technical depth.
Dates: March 24 – 25, 2026
Duration: 24 Hours (Non-stop)
Venue: CSED Block, GLA University, Mathura
Format: Fully Offline
Eligibility & Team Formation:
Academic Level: Open to all undergraduate students currently enrolled in any recognized institution (any year or branch).
Team Size: Exactly 2 to 4 members per team. Solo participation is not permitted for this edition.
Composition: Inter-college and mixed-year teams are highly encouraged to promote diverse perspectives.
Registration: All teams must register via the official Unstop/Devfolio link before the deadline.
Hackathon Track:Participants can choose between two primary tracks, both operating under an Open Innovation framework.
Software Track: Focus on intelligent agents, scalable backends, system utilities, or complex web/mobile architectures.
Hardware Track: Focus on robotics, IoT, embedded systems, or custom automation rigs.
Note: Cross-track projects (Hardware + Software) are welcome and should be registered under the track that represents the core of the innovation.
Submission & Evaluation:The judging process at CodePunk v2.0 is designed to test engineering integrity.
Mandatory Deliverables:
A working prototype (Software/Hardware).
A detailed System Architecture diagram or explanation.
A project repository (GitHub/GitLab) with a clear README.
Architecture Defense: Teams will undergo a technical "defense" round where they must justify their tech stack, design patterns, and engineering choices to the jury.
Midway Assessment: A progress check will occur at the 12-hour mark. This is non-eliminatory but provides vital feedback for the final round.
Judging Criteria:
Innovation (30%): Originality and uniqueness of the solution.
Technical Implementation (30%): Complexity and quality of the build.
Problem-solving (20%): How effectively the solution addresses the chosen problem.
Presentation & Defense (10%): Ability to explain and defend technical decisions.
Scalability (10%): The potential for the project to grow beyond a prototype.
Code of Conduct & AI Policy:
Originality: All work must be started and completed during the 24-hour hackathon window. Pre-built projects or codebases are strictly prohibited and will lead to immediate disqualification.
AI Tools: Use of AI assistants (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.) is permitted for boilerplate and optimization, but the team must be able to explain every line of code or logic generated.
Professionalism: Any form of plagiarism, harassment, or unethical behavior will result in a permanent ban from Droid Club events.
Prizes & Perks:
Total Prize Pool: $21,000+ (Includes cash awards, premium technical credits, and professional development tools).
Certificates: Official certificates of participation and achievement for all valid submissions.
Networking: Direct access to industry mentors and senior engineers.
Logistics & Safety:
