CHEM-AI-THON 2.0
CHEM-AI-THON 2.0 is a national-level hackathon organized by Dr. SSB UICET, Panjab University. The hackathon is centered around the theme “Sustainability using AI” and is designed to promote innovative, practical, and impactful solutions that address real-world sustainability challenges through Artificial Intelligence.
The event will be conducted in two stages, involving report-based evaluation followed by a final presentation before an expert jury panel.

Eligibility Criteria:
Undergraduate students from 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year are eligible
PG students, PhD scholars, and working professionals are not eligible, except Chemical + MBA students (3rd, 4th, and 5th year)
Participants must be currently enrolled in a full-time engineering program
All team members must belong to the same institution
A participant can be part of only one team
Event Structure
Stage 1: Preliminary Round (Online)
Teams will receive an initial problem statement
Submission of a presentation with a maximum of 10 slides
Submission window: within 10 hours of problem statement release
Top 15 teams will be shortlisted for the final round based on evaluation
Stage 2: Final Round (Hybrid Mode)
Shortlisted teams will receive the final problem statement
Submission of a detailed presentation with a maximum of 20 slides (as per brochure format)
Final presentation date: 9th March 2026
Presentations will be conducted offline at Dr. SSB UICET, Panjab University
Teams from institutions located more than 200 km away from Chandigarh are allowed to present online
Jury’s decision will be final and binding
Rules and Conditions
Maximum of 5 members per team
Individual participation is allowed
Registration Fee:
Preliminary Round: ₹49 per team
Final Round (Shortlisted Teams):
₹250 per person (team participants)
₹500 for single-participant teams
Accommodation
Accommodation will be provided at university guest hostels (charges applicable as per university rates)
Teams must inform the organizers by 7th March 2026 (EOD) for accommodation booking
