DevFest is Google’s global developer festival, connecting hundreds of thousands of developers in 100+ countries each year. For the first time ever, Linz joins the global DevFest network with a full day dedicated entirely to AI. 👉 Register here

This hackathon brings together AI & CS students, developers, designers, and builders from across Upper Austria to create real, working AI prototypes in a single day. The event is designed to be practical, fast-paced, and community-driven. Hosted at JKU Linz, home to 3,000+ AI students, one of the most significant AI student communities in Europe and organized by Google Developers Group Linz and Young AI Leaders Linz

The DevFest Big AI Hackathon 2025 is not a standard "sleep-deprived sprint." We are shifting the paradigm to value architectural depth and finished quality.

Our mission is to bridge the gap between a "cool demo" and a functional, deployable product. By adopting a Monday Start, Saturday Focus" model, we give you a full week to breathe life into your ideas, validating problems, training models, and architecting data flows, before the high-intensity integration finale on Saturday.

We invite students, professionals, researchers, and hobbyists to explore the frontiers of AI. Whether you use our suggested "Power Stack" or your own preferred tools, the goal is the same: Build something that matters.
