SnowHackIPEC is a flagship event by HackShastra, launching the Winter Edition
First-ever hackathon conducted under HackShastra’s IPEC Student Chapter
A 24-hour live, overnight offline hackathon
Brings together innovative student minds from across India to build impactful, future-ready solutions
Offline grand finale hosted at Inderprastha Engineering College (IPEC), Ghaziabad
Hackathon Structure:
Round 1: PPT Submission (Online)
Teams must submit a concise presentation covering:
Problem statement
Proposed solution
Technical approach
Expected impact
Evaluation based on clarity of thought, innovation, and feasibility
Expected 10,000+ submissions, making it one of the largest entry rounds in the region
Submission dates will be announced soon
Round 2: Shortlisting and Online Mentorship
150–175 teams shortlisted from Round 1
Shortlisted teams receive guided online mentorship to refine ideas and execution
After mentorship, 60–62 teams advance to the final round
Round 3: Offline Grand Finale
Top 60–62 teams qualify for the on-campus overnight hackathon at IPEC Ghaziabad
Teams build working prototypes (MVPs) with continuous mentor support
Final solutions are presented to a judging panel for evaluation

Total prize pool of ₹50,000+
Includes recognition, goodies, certificates, and networking opportunities
Themes:
Web3: Blockchain-based decentralized applications, smart contracts, trustless systems, and transparency-focused solutions
Internet of Things (IoT): Smart connected systems involving sensors, automation, real-time monitoring, and intelligent devices
Open Innovation: Flexible track for original ideas that do not fit into a single domain
AR and VR: Immersive experiences, simulations, augmented reality tools, and interactive 3D environments
AI and ML: Intelligent systems for prediction, automation, data-driven insights, and AI-powered applications
Cybersecurity: Secure architectures, encryption, authentication, threat detection, and resilient digital systems
Guidelines and Eligibility:
Team size: Minimum 2, maximum 4 members
Eligibility: Open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students across India
Inter-college teams: Allowed
Inter-specialisation teams: Allowed
Rules and Requirements:
Any form of plagiarism will result in immediate disqualification
Internet access is allowed, but use of pre-existing codebases is prohibited
Only teams shortlisted in Round 2 are eligible for the offline grand finale
Teams must present a working MVP and deliver a final pitch presentation
