Overview:
ElectroQuad 2026 is a national-level Electronics & Electrical Hackathon jointly presented by IET – NIT Surathkal, EES - NIT Warangal, Currents – NIT Trichy, and EEA – NIT Calicut.
The event challenges students to build innovative engineering solutions for real-world problems, bringing together creative minds to collaborate, design, and prototype solutions in domains such as electronic systems, embedded design, power electronics, control systems, and intelligent hardware.
Participants will first compete in a qualification round consisting of an online technical quiz covering core electrical and electronics concepts. Teams that qualify will advance to the main hackathon.
The hackathon emphasizes practical engineering, technical depth, and innovative thinking, encouraging participants to apply their academic knowledge to develop meaningful hardware-oriented solutions.
Teams will submit a report, presentation, and demo video of their work, followed by a final online evaluation round where shortlisted teams present their solutions to the judging panel.
Hackathon Structure:
Round 1 – Qualification Quiz:
Date: 18 March 2026 | Time: 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM | Mode: Online
Participants will take a technical MCQ quiz covering fundamental topics in electrical and electronics engineering.
Based on performance, selected teams will advance to the main hackathon.
Round 2 – Main Hackathon:
Dates: 20 – 24 March 2026 | Mode: Online
Qualified teams will receive problem statements on Day 1 and will have several days to design and develop their solutions.
Teams must submit a report, presentation, and demo video, followed by a final online presentation round in front of judges.
Eligibility:
Open to UG students (EEE/ECE/E&I/CSE & related).
Team of max 3 members.
Inter-college participation allowed.
Inter-specialization participation allowed.
Format:
Problem statements released on Day 1.
4-day development period.
Submission: Report + PPT + Demo video.
Final online presentation round in front of judges (To be held Online).
