Important Details:
Over the past several years, we have been actively promoting environmental awareness through ElectroGreeen, a dedicated green initiative conducted every year by the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering during Energy Conservation Week (14th–21st December).
ElectroGreeen focuses on spreading awareness about energy conservation, sustainable practices, and the responsible use of electricity among students and the wider community.
Through this initiative, we aim to educate, inspire, and encourage individuals to adopt eco-friendly habits in their daily lives and understand the importance of protecting our environment.
While ElectroGreeen has been successful in creating awareness, we realized that awareness alone is not enough; the next step is innovation and action.
The Sustainergy Hackathon is a natural extension of ElectroGreeen, designed to give participants an opportunity to convert green awareness into real-world solutions.
Building on the foundation laid by ElectroGreeen, the hackathon encourages participants to design, develop, and present innovative ideas focused on sustainability, renewable energy, and environmental protection, turning inspiration into meaningful impact.
The vision of the Sustainergy Hackathon is to create a platform where awareness leads to action and ideas lead to impact.
Its mission is to encourage participants to think creatively, collaborate effectively, and develop practical solutions that address real-world environmental challenges, while fostering a culture of sustainability, innovation, and responsibility toward the planet.
