SemiXthon is a focused, hardware-first hackathon organized by Semicon DTU, bringing together students who are genuinely passionate about electronics, semiconductors, and system-level engineering. Unlike generic hackathons, SemiXthon is built around real engineering problems. It challenges participants to move beyond theory and apply their knowledge to practical design and analysis at the silicon, circuit, and system level. The emphasis is on how things work - not just writing code, but understanding efficiency, constraints, and feasibility in real hardware. Participants tackle problem statements across key domains, including: 1. Digital and analog circuit design 2. VLSI and semiconductor fundamentals 3. Embedded systems and hardware–software co-design 4. System-level optimization and innovation SemiXthon is designed to help students think like engineers and researchers - making informed design choices, justifying trade-offs, and building solutions with technical depth. The environment is competitive, but strongly driven by learning, collaboration, and hands-on exploration. With expert mentorship, well-structured challenges, and rigorous evaluation, SemiXthon aims to foster a strong semiconductor culture among students and inspire solutions aligned with the future of electronics and hardware innovation.
