A national-level hackathon where participants design and prototype a fun, engaging, and educational game that teaches basic banking concepts to school students aged 11–13. The goal is to make learning banking concepts playful, simple, and interactive.
Theme: Banking for Kids (Ages 11–13)
Teach 3–4 core banking fundamentals from: What banks do, How accounts work, What interest means, How digital payments work, Debit cards & ATMs, Staying safe with PIN, OTP, scams, Needs vs wants, Simple budgeting, Basics of loans.
Platforms: Mobile or PC. Tools Allowed: Unity, Godot, Construct, GDevelop, Scratch, Roblox Studio, or any lightweight engine. Content Restrictions: Only banking concepts; no gambling, crypto, stock trading, complex EMIs, or real-money systems.
Hackathon Structure: Phase 1 — Storyboard + Concept Submission (Idea Round).
Deliverables: Storyboard (10–15 frames) showing core loop, progression, rewards, learning outcomes, 2–3 minute video walkthrough explaining the game and how banking concepts are taught, Game Design One-Pager: Core concept, target age, selected banking concepts, core loop, key mechanics, learning outcomes. Shortlisting: Top 15 teams advance to Phase 2.
Phase 2 — Game Prototype Development (Final Round).
Deliverables: Playable prototype: Working core loop, 1–2 min of gameplay, demonstration of 2–3 banking concepts, acceptable placeholder UI/graphics, 5-minute demo video showing gameplay and learning flow, Teaching Notes (1 page) explaining the concepts taught and mechanics reinforcing learning, Final Presentation: Problem → Concept → Mechanics → Demo → Impact.
Prize Pool (₹1,00,000 Total): Best Gameplay — ₹30,000, Best Educational Value — ₹25,000, Most Creative Concept — ₹20,000, Best Prototype Execution — ₹15,000, Jury Award — ₹10,000.
