Ingenium, one of the flagship events of Pragyan, NIT Trichy, is a national-level hardware hackthon designed to bring the brightest engineering minds together to develop impactful, real-world hardware solutions. As a platform that celebrates applied engineering, Ingenium offers participants the full spectrum of innovation from conceptualization to prototyping to technical evaluation. This opportunity provides participants with rare access to authentic, high-impact problem statements, enabling them to work on challenges that align with national priorities, advanced engineering systems, and industrial expectations. Merits of Participating: Opportunity to tackle real-world defence challenges. Hands-on prototype development, enabling participants to convert concepts into tangible devices. Exposure to advanced technologies, industry expectations, and expert evaluation. National visibility, with your work showcased during Pragyan '25. Certificate of Participation for all teams. Guidelines: All People Other than From Nit Trichy Can Participate Inter-college team members allowed. Inter-specialization team members allowed. There are Three domains - Defence , Industrial Automation and Space Technology Each domain consists one problem statement. Each team can take up only problem statement. There are three rounds in this Hackathon Abstract submission(online) - Submission of your idea through PPT. Onilne judgment(online) - atleast 50% working prototype. Final round(offline) : Teams that clear the first two rounds will qualify for the offline final round, conducted at NIT Trichy during Pragyan on February 21, 2026., where final judgment will happen - participants must present a fully developed, functional hardware prototype corresponding to their chosen problem statement. check out the timeline section for problem statements. Prize Pool: Total Prize Pool: INR 1,50,000 INR 30,000 for the winner in each of the Problem Statement. INR 20,000 for the Runner up in each of the Problem Statement. Timeline: Round 1 - Registration + PPT Submission Deadline - 31st December2025 11:59 PM Round 2 - 19th,20th and 21st January 2026 Round 3 - 21st February 2026 (Pragyan Day 2) Rules: Eligibility: All People Other than those From Nit Trichy Can Participate. The Judges' Decision Will Be Final, and No Further Arguments or Appeals Will Be Entertained. The Organisers Reserve the Right to change or update the Rules of The Contest at Any Point in Time and Will Do Their Best to Inform the Participants of these changes. However, It Is Also the Responsibility of Every Team to Keep Themselves Updated. Violation of Any Rule Can Result in The Rejection of The Proposal.
