BSmAI hosts Vivienne Ming: When Machines Have All The Answers, Build Better People
Dr. Vivienne Ming is a theoretical neuroscientist, serial entrepreneur, and author of the newly released Robot-Proof. She's the Founder and Executive Chair of Socos Labs and Chief Scientist at Possibility Sciences, where she's building systems for hybrid human-machine collective intelligence.
Over her career she's founded seven startups, held joint appointments at Stanford and UC Berkeley, and been named one of BBC's Top 100 Women.
She's in London this week and we've organised an intimate in-person AMA for the BSmAI community.
In Vivienne's words:
"A trillion dollars is being spent engineering machines that don't need us. AI optimised for autonomy is a dead end for humanity. We must invest in the only thing that appreciates in value as machines get smarter: human judgement under genuine uncertainty. This session will explore how human capital, not AI benchmarks, predicts hybrid intelligence and breakthrough innovation. Don't sell robots; build cyborgs."
