Overview:
Hackwise 2.0 is a national-level hackathon organized by Sphere Hive, the official tech and innovation community of KVG College of Engineering, Sullia.Following the success of its first edition, where participants will ideate, develop, and pitch fully projects capable of real-world use.
Eligibility:
Open to all students (UG, PG, or Diploma) across any college or university in India.
Inter-college and inter-department / inter-specialization teams are allowed.
Teams must consist of 2 to 4 members.
Members can be from any technical or non-technical discipline - development, design, management, etc.
Only one submission per team is allowed.
Format & Process:
Round 1 - Online Screening (via Unstop)
No registration fee.
Teams will submit:
A problem statement they aim to solve
A concept note or PPT outlining their idea, approach, and tech stack
Evaluation Parameters:
Originality and creativity
Problem relevance
Feasibility and potential impact
Top 30 teams will be shortlisted for the on-site round.
Round 2 - On-site Hackathon (KVGCE Campus)
Duration: 3 Days (24-hour hackathon + 1 workshop day)
Structure:
Day 1 - Workshop:
Inaugural session and participant registration
Hands-on Workshop by industry experts
Q&A and networking sessions
Hackathon Day:
24-hour continuous development session
Mentor checkpoints and evaluation rounds
Final pitch presentation before judges
Venue: KJVG Hall, KVG College of Engineering, Sullia
Facilities Provided:
Free accommodation and meals
Wi-Fi, charging stations, 24×7 workspace access
Mentorship and technical assistance
Night jamming & networking sessions
Rules & Regulations:
Teams must have 2 - 4 members.
Each participant can be part of only one team.
All work submitted must be original and developed during the hackathon.
Pre-built templates, plagiarism, or copied code will lead to disqualification.
Teams are allowed to use open-source libraries and APIs.
Final code must be shared publicly (GitHub/Drive link) at submission.
Teams must attend all checkpoints and mentor sessions.
The decision of the judges and organizers is final.
All participants must maintain professional and respectful conduct during the event.
The hackathon is offline only - all team members must be present at KVGCE.
