Build YC's Next Unicorn!
A founder showcase and hands-on Claude workshop for teams building the next breakout YC company.
If you're in the current YC orbit or preparing to apply to YC while building with AI agents, this is the kind of room you want to earn your way into.
On April 29, we're bringing together YC current batch companies alongside the next generation of founders who want to earn their place in rooms like this. Expect live demos, practical workflows, and founder-level conversations about how small teams are using agents to move with unfair speed.
Some teams will showcase how they're building with Claude Code. Others will walk through products and internal tools powered by Claude or the Claude Agent SDK. If your company is using Claude to compress research, coding, customer feedback, sales prep, or operational work, this is your chance to show the room what that looks like in practice. If you're earlier in the journey and aiming for YC, this is also a place to learn what strong founder velocity looks like up close, with real examples and real peers.
This event is also shaped by the latest YC Request for Startups. YC is explicitly pointing founders toward new opportunities in AI-native software, operational tooling, government tech, physical-world guidance systems, and model infrastructure. We want to create a room where those ideas stop being abstract and start becoming products, workflows, momentum, and future companies.
Workshop: Building AI Agents with the Claude Agent SDK — From Zero to Production
We'll run a hands-on founder workshop on how to build real AI agents with Claude, drawing on public knowledge and patterns from Boris Cherny, Alex Albert, and Thariq Shihipar.
You'll learn:
How the Claude Agent SDK works under the hoodHow to build your first agent with tools and real-world inputsHow to use parallel sub-agents for research, synthesis, and executionHow to structure agents for startup workflows like market research, customer feedback triage, code review, and outbound prepHow to think about cost controls, prompting, verification, and production readiness
This is not a toy tutorial. The goal is to leave with a working agent you can adapt to your company immediately.
The room will be curated for people who are serious about building, but the energy will be collaborative: founders sharing tactics, builders helping builders, and strong teams making each other sharper.
