Hackathon Rules & Guidelines:
1. Eligibility:
Open to students from across India.
Teams can consist of 1 to 4 members.
Inter-department teams are allowed.
Each participant can be part of only one team.
2. Hackathon Format:
Duration: 8 Hours
Venue: Easwari Engineering College, Chennai.
Teams must select one problem statement and develop a working prototype.
Research and idea planning may be done prior to the event.
However, final development, integration, and submission must be completed during the 08-hour hackathon.
Participants must bring their own laptops, chargers, and required development tools.
4 Project Guidelines:
The final working prototype must be completed and demonstrated during the hackathon.
Pre-built or fully completed projects are strictly prohibited.
Plagiarized or copied projects will be immediately disqualified.
Use of open-source libraries, APIs, and frameworks is allowed with proper credit.
Submission must include:
Source Code (GitHub link or ZIP file)
Working Demo / Prototype
Short Presentation (Pitch Deck)
5 Judging Criteria:
Projects will be evaluated based on:
Innovation & Creativity – Uniqueness and originality of the idea
Technical Implementation – Code quality, functionality, scalability
Relevance – Alignment with the problem statement and real-world impact
Design & Usability – Interface design and user experience
Presentation & Pitch – Clarity, teamwork, and communication
Judges’ decisions will be final and binding.
6 Code of Conduct:
Participants must respect fellow teams, mentors, judges, and organizers.
Maintain academic integrity and professional behavior throughout the event.
Any form of misconduct, offensive behavior, unfair practices, or rule violation may result in disqualification.
Organizers reserve the right to take appropriate action if required.
7 Prizes & Recognition:
Cash prizes, goodies, and certificates will be awarded to the winning teams.
Certificates of participation will be provided to all eligible participants who complete the hackathon.
