COGNIVIA is a high-energy, innovation-driven hackathon organized as part of IEEE Sampark 2026 at Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU). Led entirely by IEEE WIE SBAG, COGNIVIA challenges participants to design human-centric, impactful technology solutions using modern computational approaches. The hackathon will be conducted in two phases - an online development round followed by an offline finale during Sampark, giving participants the flexibility to build remotely while competing for an in-person final showcase. Hackathon Structure Phase 1: Online Round Participants will receive problem statements across multiple tracks. Teams must ideate, design, and build a concept / prototype / AI-driven solution within a limited time window. Submissions must be made via Unstop. Evaluation Parameters Innovation & originality Technical depth & execution Feasibility & real-world applicability Potential impact Clarity of solution and presentation Phase 2: Offline Finale (IEEE Sampark 2026 - PDEU) Shortlisted teams from Phase 1 will be invited to present their solutions at Sampark. Presentation Duration: 8-10 minutes pitch 3-5 minutes Q&A Solutions will be evaluated by a jury comprising industry experts, academicians, and IEEE representatives.
