Introduction-
The Ignition Hackathon is designed to challenge participants to develop innovative solutions in the field of technology and innovation. This event offers an opportunity to tackle real-world problems, collaborate with peers, and contribute to advancements in the domain.
A dynamic 24-hour Hackathon, intensive boot camp, coding competitions, and cybersecurity challenges set the stage for skill elevation. Engage in interactive workshops, enjoy an evening cultural show, and connect with tech communities and industry experts.
Explore tech trends through exhibitions, gaming tournaments, and AI/Robotics demos—Foster collaboration with start-up showcases, networking sessions, and project displays. Elevate learning, innovation, and cultural celebration in this vibrant tech extravaganza.
Eligibility: Open to All Students, Recent graduates, technologists, Freelancers and the Developer Community
Rules:
Team Formation:
Each team must consist of 2 to 4 members.
Project Scope:
Teams can develop solutions within the provided tracks.
Projects may focus on a specific technology or platform as per event guidelines.
Time Constraints:
The hackathon will have a strict time limit for submissions and presentations.
Pre-existing code or projects cannot be used, except for open-source libraries or frameworks.
Code Ownership & Submission:
All code must be original and developed during the hackathon.
Using external code or assets without permission is prohibited.
Final submissions (code and documentation) must be completed before the deadline.
Collaboration Rules:
Teams may seek guidance from mentors and organizers.
Cross-team collaboration is not allowed during the competition.
Judging Criteria:
Judging will be based on innovation, technical implementation, user experience, scalability, and relevance to the theme.
The judges' decision is final and will be communicated before the event concludes.
Fair Play & Conduct:
Participants must adhere to ethical standards.
Cheating, plagiarism, or unfair practices will result in immediate disqualification.
A code of conduct promoting inclusivity, respect, and professionalism must be followed.
Intellectual Property Rights:
Participants retain full ownership of their projects.
Organizers may request permission to showcase or promote submissions.
Prizes & Recognition:
The hackathon will offer cash prizes, mentorship opportunities, and incubation programs based on judging criteria.
Dispute Resolution:
Any concerns will be resolved through an arbitration process led by organizers.
The decision of the judging panel and organizers is final.
Liability Disclaimer:
Organizers and sponsors are not liable for damages, losses, or injuries incurred during the event.
Participants are responsible for their own safety, equipment, and actions.
Changes & Announcements:
Organizers reserve the right to modify event rules, format, or prizes.
Any changes will be communicated promptly and clearly.
Event Process & Format
Phase One: Virtual Presentation Submission
Submission Window: March 19, 2026 – April 4, 2026
Presentation Deck Requirements:
If PPT has already been created and submitted by a team/individual, please omit the upcoming instructions regarding PPT creation.
Create a 5-slide deck (excluding introduction and closing slides).
Focus on a single problem statement within your chosen track and address these key elements:
Market Analysis: Investigate the problem area and determine market demands.
Technical Architecture & Feasibility: Describe the design and evaluate the solution’s practicality.
Scalability: Detail how your solution can be effectively expanded.
Wireframes (Design): Provide visual mockups of your proposed solution.
Alignment with Track Goals: Demonstrate how your solution meets the objectives of the track.
Mentorship & Guidance:
Mentorship and guidance from experts and mentors will be provided twice during the 24-hour hackathon on 7th April.
Submission & Deadlines:
Deadline: 4th April, 2026
Advancement Notification: Teams progressing to the next stage will be informed via email and will then participate in the in-person challenge on April 7, 2026.
Phase Two: Live 24-Hour Hackathon
Date: April 7, 2026
Objective:
An expert panel of mentors will assess your idea based on the quality of your presentation and the feasibility of your proposed solution.
Live Presentations:
Final project presentations will be conducted in person at the event venue, following a schedule that will be communicated via email or messaging platforms.
Awards & Prize Distribution
Award Ceremony:
The prize distribution will be held at Gautam Buddha University on April 8, 2026. Attendance is required for all finalists.
Prize Pool:
A total prize pool of Rs. 50k+ will be allocated among the winning teams.
