bout Event
Maua 72 is a 72-hour hackathon where IT students from universities across Southeast Asia team up to build working apps, websites, and automations for real business cases.
This is Chapter 2, taking place at Universitas Sugeng Hartono in Solo from May 29 to 31, 2026. You can join on campus or fully online from anywhere in the region.
What you will do Get matched with a real business case from a participating company, build a working solution in 72 hours, and present it to the case givers and a panel of judges. By the end of the weekend you will have shipped something real, not just a slide deck.
Who can join Active students from IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related faculties. Open to all universities across Southeast Asia. You can sign up as an individual and we will help form teams at the start, or register with a team of up to four if you already have one.
What you need A laptop, a working internet connection, and comfort with at least one programming language or a no-code tool. The rest you can pick up on the way.
Format Hybrid. Join us in person at USH Solo, or take part fully online from your home campus.
What you walk away with
The best performers from this chapter move into a 6-month paid internship at Maua or a partner company, with a job opportunity afterwards either at Maua or at a Southeast Asian partner company. How many internship spots open up depends on the strength of the cohort, so the door is open whether that means one student, a full team, or more.
Every student who joins also gets access to the Maua Discord talent network, the channel where partner companies post briefs, paid hackathon rounds, and hiring calls. Once you are in, you stay in the loop for what comes next.
On top of that, you walk away with portfolio-ready work, mentorship from industry builders, and a network of peers from across the region.
