Kajoo.ai is hosting a 1-day, in-person hiring hackathon / workshop in Damascus to identify and hire senior-level product and engineering talent.
This is not a traditional hackathon, not a competition, and not a marketing event. It is a real-world, hands-on workshop designed to evaluate how candidates think, design, and build.
Top performers will move directly into final hiring discussions.
Who We’re Hiring
🔹 Senior UX & Product Designer
Strong UX and interaction design skills
Deep product and analytical thinking
Ability to translate requirements into:
User journeys
Designs
User stories & acceptance criteria
🔹 Senior AI Full-Stack Developer (MERN)
Strong MERN stack experience
Interest or experience in LLM-powered systems
Ability to design and build production-grade features

What Will Happen on the Day
Participants will:
Receive a real Kajoo.ai product or engineering problem
Analyze requirements and constraints
Design or build solutions relevant to their role
Explain decisions and trade-offs
Optionally document user stories, APIs, or acceptance criteria
⚠️ This is not about speed. It’s about clarity, thinking, and execution.

📍 Location: Damascus (exact venue shared with selected participants)
Working Model (If Hired)
Full-time (40 hours/week)
Working days: Sunday–Thursday
Weekend: Friday & Saturday (Friday off)
Time Zone Requirement
Daily 3-hour overlap with Toronto (ET)
9:00 AM – 12:00 PM ET
Winter: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM Damascus
Summer: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM Damascus
Location
First 3 months: Remote (work from home)
After probation: possible transition to a local office in Damascus
Requirements: personal laptop, fast internet, reliable electricity.
