We’re putting the AI in AIU Academic Events and Competitions… Join us for the AI for Impact Hackathon: Harness AI to tackle a real-world issue, announced at the competition, to develop an innovative AI-driven solution: A working prototype of an interactive tool with the potential to make long lasting, global change. Teams of up to 4 students in grade divisions: Middle School (6–8) and High School (9–12). Deliverable: A working prototype of an interactive tool powered by AI addressing the competition challenge. Presentation: A 2-minute pitch to a panel of judges with time after for judges to test the interactive prototype. Awards: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will be announced in each grade division (6–8 and 9–12). Materials: Each student may bring a tablet/chromebook/laptop, but there must be at least one device per team. After the challenge is revealed, a one hour timer begins. Student teams develop an AI-driven solution to the challenge with an innovative working prototype of an interactive tool that can be tested by judges. Another one hour timer will be set for teams to connect with our community of educators, parents, and guest attendees to receive feedback, revise, and finalize prototypes before presentations. Chaperones must stay onsite for the entirety of ALL events and always be accessible to their students if needed, as the AIU is not responsible for attendees.
