Pegasus 4.0 is an All-India Inter-College Hackathon organized by IEEE SB MITS, conducted under the theme Open Innovation. Participants are encouraged to propose original, innovative, and feasible solutions to real-world problems across diverse domains.
The hackathon is conducted in two distinct tracks:
Software Track
Hardware Track
️Track change is not allowed.Once a team selects a track during registration/idea submission, it cannot be changed at any stage of the hackathon
Hackathon Structure:
Round 1: Idea Submission(Shortlisting round)
Participants submit their ideas using a strict 6-slide PPT format. This round is common for both software and hardware track and focuses purely on:
Problem identification
Innovation and creativity
Feasibility of implementation
Potential real-world impact
No coding or hardware building is required in this stage. Based on evaluation, shortlisted teams will qualify for the final hackathon round, which will be held offline.
Final Round: Implementation
Software Track: A 24-hour hackathon where shortlisted teams build and demonstrate their solutions. Bonus points are awarded for deployed or demo-accessible solutions.
Note: Problem statements will be released on the day of the event.
Hardware Track: Teams must build their prototype entirely on-site, following a strict build-from-scratch policy. Any pre-assembled or pre-programmed hardware leads to immediate disqualification.
Note: Problem statements will be released 3 days before the event.
