DataBiz, the official student-led Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Society of MANIT Bhopal, presents DataBiz Vizathon 2026, its flagship data visualisation and insight-driven competition.The Vizathon is designed to assess participants’ ability to analyze data, extract meaningful insights, and communicate findings effectively through visual representations. The competition emphasises analytical thinking and interpretation rather than extensive coding.

Duration: 30 minutes
Format: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)

Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) - Statistics and probability - SQL and analytical
reasoning - Principles of data visualization - Data interpretation and insight generation
Candidates with the highest scores will qualify for the offline final round.
Round 2: Offline Vizathon (Final Round):
Mode: Offline (On Campus)
Duration: 2 hours
Participants: Shortlisted finalists
Participants will be provided with: - An analytics-based problem statement - A dataset for analysis
Objectives: - Explore and analyse the dataset - Identify key trends, patterns, and anomalies -develop clear and relevant visualisations - Present well-reasoned insights and recommendations
Final Round Presentation Format (15 Minutes):
Part A: Data Analysis and Insight Presentation (8 Minutes)
Slides Required: 12–14
Suggested Structure: - Problem understanding and business context dataset overview and challenges
Exploratory Data Analysis findings - Visualisation approach and rationale - Key insights, recommendations, and next steps
Part B: Live Visual Interpretation Task (5 Minutes)
Common task for all participants
Internet access and coding are not permitted
Participants may be required to: - Interpret a given chart or dashboard - Identify errors, bias, or inefficiencies in a visualisation - Select appropriate charts for specific business questions
Derive insights from a brief data snapshot - Recommend actions based on summarised information
