InnovateX 4.0 is the flagship 111-event technology movement of Presidency University, uniting innovation, competition, and future-driven engineering under one platform. Scheduled from April 6–9, 2026, it is designed to host 10,000+ participants across technical, hardware, software, management, and interdisciplinary domains.
InnovateX is not just a fest — it is a launchpad for ideas, talent, and technological excellence.
Patch OR Perish is a hands-on secure coding competition conducted under INNOVATEX 4.0 – Presidency University.
Participants will be given a pre-configured vulnerable web application and must:
Identify security vulnerabilities aligned with OWASP Top 10
Fix them using secure coding best practices
Maintain original application functionality
Document vulnerabilities and remediation steps
Present their solution to judges
The event promotes a security-first mindset and real-world application security skills.

Event Participation & Guidelines:
Participation is team-based, with a maximum of four members per team. All team members must be registered before the event begins.
Participants must use only the source code and resources provided by the organizers. Any modification outside the defined scope is strictly prohibited.
Each team is required to identify, analyze, and securely fix vulnerabilities in the given application while preserving its intended functionality.
Submissions must include:
Updated source code
A brief explanation of identified vulnerabilities
Description of remediation steps taken
Participants must strictly adhere to the event timeline and submission deadlines.
Judges’ decisions regarding evaluation, scoring, and results are final and binding.
The organizers reserve the right to modify rules or disqualify teams to ensure fair play and smooth conduct of the event.
