Description:
SheBuilds 2026 is a fast-paced, 12-hour hackathon for girls only, where participants solve real-world problems and build joyful, creative tech experiences.
The event is divided into two back-to-back phases:
Phase 1 — Real-World Problem Solving
Build a technology solution addressing real-life challenges such as campus problems, social impact, productivity tools, or AI-assisted systems.
Phase 2 — Fun & Joyful Innovation
Build a creative, entertaining, or experimental tech experience — mini-games, creative AI tools, meme-based products, or innovative UI/UX concepts.
Deliverables:
Each team must submit the following by the end of 12 hours:
Real-World Solution Prototype (Phase 1)
Fun/Joyful Project Prototype (Phase 2)
One combined presentation including:
Problem statement & solution (Phase 1)
Creative concept & experience design (Phase 2)

Phase 1: First 6 Hours — Real-World Problem Solving
Phase 2: Next 6 Hours — Fun & Joyful Innovation
Hour 6 Checkpoint: Teams must present a working progress demo before moving to Phase 2
Deadline:
Submission Deadline: End of Hour 12
Late submissions will not be accepted
Submission Mode:
Submit both prototypes (Phase 1 & Phase 2) along with the combined presentation
A working prototype demo is required during final judging
All pre-built templates, open-source libraries, and APIs must be declared
Copyright & Permissions:
Organizers reserve the right to modify rules if required for fairness or safety.
Submitted projects may be used for academic or promotional purposes by the organizing team.
Disqualification Criteria:
Late or incomplete submissions
Plagiarism or copying existing projects
Development done outside the 12-hour hackathon window
Violation of code of conduct (harassment, discrimination, misconduct)
Teams not meeting eligibility requirements
Note: The decision of the judges is final and binding.

Team Details:
Team Size: 1–4 members
Eligibility: Open to undergraduate and postgraduate students from recognized institutions
Cross-year / Cross-discipline teams: Allowed
Note: Team composition cannot be changed after the hackathon starts.
Registration:
Valid college ID is mandatory
Successful registration confirmation is required for entry
Important:
All participants must go through the official guideline booklet before the event.
All development must strictly occur within the 12-hour hackathon duration.
