About HACK18
HACK18 is a premier hackathon organized under Udbhav 2026 by the Institution’s Innovation Council, Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT) Allahabad. This event aims to bring together innovative minds from diverse disciplines to collaborate, build impactful solutions, and demonstrate technical excellence.
Participants will work on innovative problem statements, develop prototypes, and present scalable solutions evaluated by industry experts and academicians.
Eligibility
Open to students from all disciplines (Technology, Engineering, Innovation, etc.).
Participants can form teams of 1 to 4 members.
Each participant can be part of only one team.
Cross-disciplinary teams are highly encouraged.
All team members must complete registration before the deadline.
Team Formation Guidelines
Teams must register with:

No changes in team composition will be allowed after the registration deadline.
Registration Fee
Participation in Round 1 (online shortlisting) is free of cost.
Teams shortlisted for Round 2 and further rounds are required to pay a registration fee of INR 500 per participant.
The fee must be paid within the specified timeline after shortlisting to confirm participation.
Failure to pay the fee within the deadline may lead to disqualification.
Themes & Problem Statements
Problem statements will be released on 3rd April.
Each department will have domain-specific problem statements.
Teams must select one problem statement and build their solution accordingly.
All submissions must be original.
Use of open-source tools/libraries is allowed but must be disclosed.

Development Guidelines
Coding must begin only after the official start of the hackathon.
Pre-built templates are allowed, but core logic must be developed during the event.
Teams may use any technology stack unless specified otherwise.
Use of the internet and external resources is permitted.
