Welcome to the AI-first world and MCPs
There is a new main user - AI. There is a search for AI, there is email for AI, there is shopping for AI, there are more and more things made for AI.
Despite the buzz, the actual number of products and services for AIs is still very much limited.
We want to change that.
During this Hackathon we will deep dive into and build on top of the Model Context Protocol (MCP). The framework became a market standard to connect AIs (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, ...) to any external systems.
Whether you're experimenting with agents that tackle a specific use case, creating tools that make AI genuinely useful, or just curious about what MCP can do, bring your laptop and let's make something cool.
Public services and beyond
In this Hackathon, we would love to welcome builders to focus on public services and data - whether this is about German public statistics, Central bank databases, or submission of your Anmeldungsantrag to a local authority. Here are some of the ideas that can be freely picked up: List of Ideas.
Though, we welcome builders with ideas for any areas.
We'll have space to collaborate, break off into teams, or hack solo on whatever sparks your interest. No pressure to have a polished pitch or a fully-formed idea – come with questions, half-baked concepts, or just the energy to learn something new. We will be around to help troubleshoot, and there'll be plenty of others figuring things out alongside you. Food and drinks provided, just bring yourself and your curiosity.
