About the Event:
IEEE IGDTUW presents WIEgnite Hackathon 3.0, a multi-track innovation challenge where student teams design and build real-world technology solutions.
Participants will develop impactful products across domains such as Game Design, Digital Fitness, FinTech, AI-driven Automation, Healthcare, Clean and Green Technology, and UI/UX Design.
The hackathon follows a structured 3-round format that includes online screening, guided development with mentors, and an offline final round at the IGDTUW campus.
Eligibility:
Only students from the 2026, 2027, 2028, and 2029 batches are eligible
Team size: 1 to 4 members
Minimum one woman member is mandatory in every team
All members must be from the same graduation year
Inter-college teams are allowed (same graduation year required)
Inter-specialization or branch teams are allowed
Tracks / Themes:
Game Design: Build an interactive game or gamified experience that focuses on creativity, user engagement, or problem-solving. Solutions may include 2D/3D games, serious games, or immersive experiences using AR/VR technologies.
Digital Fitness: Build a digital solution that encourages physical activity, fitness tracking, wellness, or healthy habits using technology.
FinTech: Build a FinTech solution that improves payments, lending, insurance, fraud detection, compliance, or financial inclusion.
AI Driven Automation: Build an AI-powered system that automates tasks, optimizes resources, or improves decision-making using data, ML, or analytics.
Healthcare: Build a Healthtech solution that improves patient care, diagnostics, monitoring, or public health outcomes.
Clean and Green Technology: Build a technology-driven system that promotes environmental conservation and sustainability.
UI/UX Design (only for first-year students): Design a simple, intuitive, and accessible user experience that solves a real user problem, focusing on clarity and ease of use.
Each team must select one track only.
Hackathon Phases:
Phase 1: Ideation Phase
Teams submit their project idea aligned with one of the official tracks or problem statements.
Submission Format: 4 slide PPT (recommended)
Slides must include:
Problem Statement and target users
Proposed Solution
Key uniqueness or innovation
Theme alignment
Proposed tech stack
Phase 2: Development Phase
Shortlisted teams build a working prototype with mentor guidance through reviews and feedback sessions.
