Hybrid Hackathon by CSI DMCE
CSI DMCE presents the second edition of its flagship hybrid hackathon, CODE-A-THON 2.0, an innovation-driven competition aimed at fostering creativity, technical excellence, and futuristic problem-solving.
This year’s theme, Hack The Space, challenges participants to think beyond conventional boundaries, explore emerging technologies, and develop impactful solutions to the problem statements provided by the organising committee.
CODE-A-THON 2.0 follows a two-stage hybrid format, combining online evaluation with an intensive offline hackathon—allowing students to showcase their skills from ideation to execution.
Event Format:
Round 1: Online Screening (Idea Submission)
Participants must submit:
A structured PPT describing their proposed solution
A short video explaining the concept
Submissions must align with the theme Hack The Space and be based on the official problem statements provided by CSI DMCE.
Shortlisted teams will proceed to the offline hackathon.
Round 2: Offline Hackathon (On Campus)
Time: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM (12 hours)
Venue: Datta Meghe College of Engineering (DMCE), Airoli
Shortlisted teams will work on building a functional prototype based on their submitted idea.
Teams are expected to present:
Working prototype
Business model
Impact analysis
Target user segment
Technical feasibility
Evaluation will consider innovation, usability, clarity, real-world relevance, and technical depth.
Theme: Hack The Space
Students will choose from problem statements provided by CSI DMCE, typically revolving around:
Space technology and simulation
Smart, autonomous, and intelligent systems
Automation and futuristic engineering
AI and machine learning–powered applications
