Blind Code is a fast-paced, high-pressure programming challenge where teamwork, communication, and logic outweigh pure coding speed. In this unique dual-role setup, one participant types blindfolded while the other navigates through verbal guidance, pushing coordination and problem-solving to their limits.
Eligibility & Format:
Open to all
Inter-college participation allowed
Inter-specialization participation allowed
Team-based (2 members per team)
Venue: IITM, Janakpuri
Registration Fee: 100 per team
Rules & Roles:
Each team consists of one Coder (Blindfolded)and one Instructor (Guide).
Roles cannot be swapped during the round or after task assignment.
The Codermust type without seeing the screen, keyboard or mouse.
The Instructormay only guide verbally; touching the coder, equipment or desk is strictly prohibited.
Instructor may explain logic, guide key positions and assist in debugging verbally.
Restrictions:
No mobile phones, notes, books or external help allowed
Cheating, peeking or disobeying instructions leads to penalty or disqualification
Disqualification & Conduct:
Any violation of rules or unauthorized physical assistance may lead to immediate disqualification
All participants must follow event instructions
Judge’s decision is final and binding
