BUILD-IT ON is a college-level AI Buildathon aimed at encouraging students to innovate and develop technology-driven solutions for real-world problems. The event is based on the theme “AI Impact for Social Sustainability”, where participants will use Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies to create solutions that contribute to society.
The Buildathon brings together students from different colleges across Mumbai to collaborate, brainstorm ideas, build prototypes, and present their solutions to a panel of judges.
Eligibility:
The event is open to students from any college in Mumbai.
Participants must register in teams of 2–4 members.
Inter-college teams are allowed, meaning students from different colleges can form a team.
Inter-specialization teams are allowed, so students from different branches or streams can collaborate.
All participants must complete the official registration process.

Event Format:
Round 1 – Online Idea Submission:
Teams must submit their innovative idea based on the theme AI Impact for Social Sustainability using the provided PPT template. The submission should explain the idea and its potential impact.
Round 2 – Shortlisting
All submitted ideas will be reviewed by the organizing team and judges. The most promising and innovative ideas will be shortlisted for the next round.
Round 3 – Offline AI Buildathon
Shortlisted teams will participate in the offline Buildathon. The official problem statement will be shared with the shortlisted teams 24 hours before the offline event, and teams will work on building their solution based on the given problem statement.
Round 4 – Final Presentation
Teams will present their solution and prototype developed during the Buildathon to the judging panel. Winners will be selected based on innovation, implementation, impact, and presentation.
Rules:
Each team must consist of 2–4 members.
All ideas and projects must be original and created by the participants.
Any form of plagiarism or copying existing work may lead to disqualification.
Teams must follow the event theme and submission guidelines.
Participants must adhere to the given deadlines and event instructions.
The decision of the judges and organizing committee will be final.
