DebugX is an offline, time-bound debugging competition under INNOVATEX 4.0. Participants work in teams to identify and fix bugs in the provided code, covering syntax errors, runtime issues, logical flaws, and incomplete implementations. The event tests problem analysis, debugging accuracy, algorithmic thinking, and efficient coding under pressure.
Eligibility:
Open to undergraduate and postgraduate students from all recognized colleges.
Students from Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related disciplines are encouraged.
A valid college ID is mandatory for all participants.
Team Composition:
Team size: 2–4 members.
Inter-college and inter-specialization teams allowed.
A participant can join only one team.
Team composition cannot be changed after registration closes.
Competition Format:
Offline, controlled lab environment.
Each participant is assigned a system provided by organizers.
All systems are connected to a secure local server for problem distribution and submission.
Internet access or external devices are strictly prohibited.

Submission Guidelines:
All submissions via the secure local server.
Each submission is timestamped automatically.
Late submissions not accepted.
Organizers will specify the multiple attempts rules.
Only the final accepted submission counts for evaluation.
Judging Criteria:
Number of correctly solved problems (primary metric)
Accuracy and correctness of bug fixes
Time taken to submit correct solutions
Consistency across multiple problems
Tie-breaker: Lower total submission time ranks higher
Rules of Conduct:
Participants must follow organizers’ instructions.
Maintain professional conduct throughout the event.
Any plagiarism, cheating, or unauthorized collaboration will result in disqualification.
Judges’ and organizing committee decisions are final and binding.
