**NXTGEN** is a 24-hour open innovation hackathon hosted at Express Avenue Mall as part of TEXUS 2026, the flagship fest of SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram. It brings together student innovators to think fast, collaborate intensively, and build beyond classroom boundaries.
Set in a dynamic public venue, teams ideate and develop real-world solutions across diverse tracks through rapid experimentation and teamwork. More than a competition, NXTGEN is a celebration of technology, creativity, and next-generation ideas.
# Eligibility
Open to all Under Graduate (UG) Students
# Team Formation
Participants must form teams of **2–4 members.**
**Solo participation is not allowed.**
# Important Note
This is an open innovation hackathon where teams define their own problem statements.
All ideas must align with one of the official tracks.
Plagiarism or copied ideas will result in immediate disqualification.
Teams requiring guidance or sample problem statements may contact the official hackathon team at the registered email ID.
# Competition Format
A Pre-Event Shortlisting Round will be conducted before the main hackathon.
This round will be a PPT-based idea presentation, where teams propose their own problem statement and solution under the umbrella of open innovation, aligned with the provided tracks.
**🔹 How the PPT Round Works**
Teams of 2–4 members participate.
Each team submits one PPT.
**Teams do not need a working prototype at this stage.**
Focus is on:
**Problem clarity
Innovation
Feasibility
Alignment with tracks**

Teams must submit a **PPT with 6–8 slides**, strictly following the structure below:

# Tracks
**EcoTech-** EcoTech Intelligence develops software for sustainability and environmental monitoring solutions. It covers air/water/agriculture monitoring, renewable energy tools like solar optimization and smart grids, carbon management for ESG, and precision farming for soil, water, and crop improvements.
**Healthcare-** Biomedical Solutions builds digital healthcare systems to boost patient outcomes, efficiency, and access. The track targets multilingual medicine, AI clinical decision support, remote monitoring, PHR platforms, and healthcare analytics for population management, hospital optimization, and automated insurance claims.
**AthleTech-** AthleTech drives software innovations for athletic performance, analytics, and fitness. The track covers community apps, fan engagement, interactive viewing, sports analytics, wellness tech like yoga, operational systems for competitions and scholarships, and nutrition tracking with localized food databases.
**Dev Velocity-** Dev Velocity emphasizes intelligent automation to accelerate business processes and software development. The track highlights developer tools, code analysis, debugging, workflow automation, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, logistics/supplier management, compliant supply chain automation, and cost-effective startup monitoring.
**VoyageTech-** VoyageTech Experience aims to transform transportation, tourism, and urban mobility with intelligent software solutions. The track covers public transport with real-time tracking and safety, smart tourism apps for monuments/cultural experiences/custom itineraries/regional cuisine, route guidance, crowd monitoring, accessibility, multimodal aggregators, and unified payments.
**FinTrust-** FinTech Fusion merges decentralized infrastructure with traditional finance for secure, transparent solutions. The track covers blockchain invoice financing, digital token creation, asset platforms with verified identity, automated microfinance, secure payments, regulatory compliance software, digital document identity verification, tax reconciliation, and transaction monitoring.
