Problem Statements
Finance
Digital Payment Security: The rapid adoption of digital payment systems has increased exposure to fraud and financial scams, leading to monetary losses and reduced trust. Solutions should focus on secure transaction systems, fraud detection, and prevention mechanisms.
Financial Inclusion & Credit Accessibility: A large population lacks access to formal credit due to limited financial history, restricting growth and financial stability. Innovative, fair, and data-driven solutions are needed to enable inclusive access to credit and loans.
Agriculture
Weather-Induced Crop Risk Management: Unpredictable climatic conditions such as droughts, irregular rainfall, and extreme weather events cause severe crop losses. Farmers require predictive insights and preventive guidance to protect productivity and livelihoods.
Farmer Market Access & Fair Pricing: Small and marginal farmers face challenges in accessing markets and selling produce at fair prices, leading to losses and wastage. Solutions should enable direct access for buyers, transparent pricing, and sustainable income generation.
Education
Online Assessment Integrity: The rise of online examinations has led to challenges related to cheating and unfair practices, impacting academic credibility. Secure, transparent, and fair digital assessment systems are required.
Bridging Digital Learning Gaps: Limited access to devices, internet connectivity, and affordable learning resources creates educational inequality. Scalable and inclusive solutions are needed to make quality education accessible to all.
IoT / Smart Living
Intelligent Traffic & Urban Mobility: Urban congestion leads to increased pollution, delays, and reduced quality of life. Data-driven and intelligent traffic management solutions are required to optimise mobility and urban infrastructure.
Smart Public Infrastructure Monitoring: Critical infrastructure failures often go undetected until severe damage occurs. Proactive monitoring and predictive maintenance solutions can improve efficiency, safety, and reliability.
Health
Early Health Risk Detection: Delayed diagnosis increases treatment complexity and healthcare costs. Solutions should focus on early detection, continuous monitoring, and preventive healthcare.
Hospital Workflow & Appointment Optimisation: Inefficient scheduling and long waiting times strain healthcare systems and reduce patient satisfaction. Intelligent systems are needed to optimise appointments and patient flow.
Open Innovation
Participants are encouraged to propose innovative solutions beyond the listed tracks, addressing real-world challenges across any domain through technology-driven or interdisciplinary approaches.
